Company

Tech 4 Change is part of Sustainable Tech 4 Good Group Ltd – we make pre-used tech sustainable and available for social good. We have been getting devices out to address digital exclusion since 2020, helping those in need while reducing the negative impacts on our environment.

Our raison d’être is to help those in need through the reuse of tech, while helping mitigate environmental impacts. Tech 4 Change makes sustainable and affordable tech available to all, and at the same time helps extend our work to help the digitally excluded get devices for digital access. You buy, we donate to our partner charities who help people in need. Buying from us helps you, helps others and is kind to our environment.

Product

Refurbished tech is sustainable and good for the environment, saving e-waste, the extraction of scarce raw materials and CO2 emissions. It is also good for your pocket, offering significant cost savings over buying new. Most users do not need the latest specs, so can benefit from these savings. And you are helping others – You buy and we will donate devices to people in need through our partner charities.

All products we sell have had their storage securely data erased to HMG Infosec Standard 5 (Enhanced) – you can buy with confidence that all previous data has been securely dealt with. Find out more in our Secure Data Erasure section within About Us.

Yes, all of our products come with a 30-day warranty.

Our Sustainable Tech Quality Guarantee is your guarantee that you can buy with confidence from Tech 4 Change, knowing that all of the tech we offer is sustainable, and has been thoroughly checked and refurbished ready for reuse.

Our engineers will grade our products as either Grade A or Grade B before listing them on our site.

Grade A means that the product is fully functioning, with only minor signs of use and no screen damage.

Grade B products are still fully functioning, with signs of use – no more than 2 small scratches, no major scratches and no screen damage.

Payments

All of our payments are handled by Shopify – you can see a
list of the methods accepted in the footer on this website.

Shipping

Shipment will be made via Parcelforce Next Day delivery, or Royal Mail First Class post, dependent on value. All orders over £50 are shipped on a tracked service.

We provide free shipping on all orders unless otherwise stated.

Your order will be shipped within 48 hours of placing your order, or from the next business day for weekend orders.

We currently only ship to addresses within the United Kingdom.

Yes, once paid for via Shopify on our site, you can collect your order from our warehouse in Stevenage – Please call to make sure your order is ready for collection before coming.

If you have a tracking number, please first check the status of your delivery on the relevant tracking link in 'How can I track my order?' above. If there is an issue, or if you have any other problem, please email us with the details at support@tech4change.co.uk and we will address it for you.

Returns

Should you encounter any problem with your order, please contact us within 48 hours of receipt at support@tech4change.co.uk with details of what is wrong and we will address it.

We offer a 14-day right to return, in case you are not 100% satisfied with the item you purchased. You may request a return within 14 days of receiving your item.

Should you wish to return a product for repair, replacement or refund, please contact us by email at support@tech4change.co.uk, quoting your Order Number, to request return instructions.
