Our Susan Gowling ~ Founder (pictured with KidsOut Trustee Mark Stevens) was honoured to have been invited to the KidsOut ‘Question of Sport’ event on the 8th February in Milton Keynes, that was in partnership with Harry’s Rainbow and hosted by Kevin Keegan.
KidsOut is an amazing charity dedicated to supporting some of the UK’s most disadvantaged and vulnerable children with positive and happy experiences. In collaboration with Women’s Aid Federation Refuge and over 100 independent refuges, KidsOut supports approximately 20,000 children a year who with their mothers have fled domestic violence to seek safety in refuges and safe houses, by way of day trips, fun experiences, toys, books and tech to those who might otherwise have none.
Sue is an Ambassador for KidsOut and Sustainable Tech 4 Good provide vital devices to help children and mums:
• Keep-in-touch with friends and family when in refuge (vital to their wellbeing)
• Continue their education, during the time (can be a up to a year+) they are unable to attend school - 65% of children fleeing domestic abuse face significant educational disruption
• Access benefits, health and employment services

Harry's Rainbow is a fantastic charity who support children bereaved of a parent or sibling in Milton Keynes and surrounding areas, facilitating connection with other children and young people in similar circumstances, helping to relieve isolation and loneliness whilst also promoting healthy living and wellbeing. The charity was formed in 2011 by the family of Harry following his unexpected sudden death aged 5. Harry’s family found it very difficult to get the bereavement help and support they needed, especially for Jessica, Harry’s twin sister. So, Harry’s legacy, ‘Harry’s Rainbow’ was born.
